PDFCells vs DocuClipper
DocuClipper is a cloud subscription for accounting firms, with direct QuickBooks Online and Xero integrations, an API and SOC 2 Type II; it is the stronger choice for high-volume, connected workflows. PDFCells is free for text PDFs and OCR, converts in your browser without uploading, and checks every statement before it makes Excel, OFX, QBO or Xero files.

Choose DocuClipper if
- You process statements for many clients every month and want them pushed straight into QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- You need an API, team features or a SOC 2 Type II vendor.
- You need IIF, QFX or QIF output.
Choose PDFCells if
- You convert occasionally and don’t want a subscription.
- Client documents must not be uploaded to a third-party service.
- You want to see and fix each table next to the page before exporting.
PDFCells reads statements with one general layout engine; it has no bank-specific templates. It takes the year for month/day dates from the statement period and combines statements printed in sections; its tests cover layouts modelled on Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Amex, Citi, Capital One and PNC statements (bank notes).
